Coming Up Monday on LFN

Coming up this week on LFN, well to be honest it will be a bit different. No phone calls. No, not because we don’t like you, but because of the phone volume lately our phone system went down. That means it looks as though we will be without phones for about a week. We still want to hear from you though, just via email or this blog.

On Monday we will be registering people to win a 2009 Prius…stay tuned. We will also discuss Obama’s National Security team, and news from over Thanksgiving.

Gov. Mike Huckabee on LFN Friday!

Governor Mike Huckabee will be on Lubbock’s First News with Chad Hasty this Friday at 8:35am. He will be joining us to talk about his new book and of course politics. Be sure to tune in this Friday as Gov. Mike Huckabee joins LFN.

Join Chad At Sonic On Friday!

I’ll be out live at Sonic located at about 80th and University from 11am-1pm on Friday qualifying someone to win the Sonic-KFYO Green Machine. Come out to Sonic and sign up to win a 2009 Toyota Prius, free gasoline, and Sonic giftcards. I will be selecting a name before 1pm tomorrow at Sonic to be one of the 84 people qualified to win the Prius. Of course, you should also come out tomorrow and get something to eat.

Signatures To Be Turned In Wednesday

Let Lubbock Vote will turn in signed petitions at 10am on Wednesday, November 12th. If the signatures are verified…or at least the min. number of signatures needed are verified, then come May 2009 Lubbock citizens will be able to vote on alcohol sales in the Hub City.

Obama Landslide?

This morning on LFN I predicted an Obama landslide victory tonight with wins in VA, OH, NC (close..but a win) and CO, NM for battle ground wins. That would give Senator Barack Obama 326 electoral votes. I was battling between Florida and North Carolina turning blue, but at the end of the day I think McCain will edge out Obama in Florida while Obama edges out McCain in NC. At first even I thought that was crazy, but even the master Karl Rove is now predicting an Obama landslide. The difference between his map and mine? Florida and North Carolina. He thinks Florida will flip to blue while NC stays red.
