Mitt Romney OUT

7 Feb

Looks like Mitt Romney will drop out of the Presidential race today, in fact, it might be happening now (link). So now we have John McCain and Mike Huckabee left for the Republicans. Okay and Ron Paul. Now that McCain and Huck don’t have Mitt to punch around what happens? Does this make Huckabee stronger?

Let me know what you think.

UPDATE- CNN says that Romney will suspend his campaign rather than dropping out. This means he can keep his delegates. link

Is it true that the delegates that were previously for Romney can now be moved over to a different candidate? If this is true, and suppose the go to Huckabee… it could give Huckabee a chance…although he’d still be far behind. It is a surprise to me that Mitt is dropping out this early in the race… although it does seem with both Huckabee and Romney in the race the conservative side of votes would be split and now they can be focused on one candidate. Time will tell what happens next.
