Primary Predictions

3 Mar

The Texas Primary is coming up on Tuesday so now it’s time to get your predictions on who you think will come out on top in selected races. Leave your predictions on the comment section and in the Presidential race, leave a percentage (state-wide) the winning candidate (ex. Obama 54% in Texas). The person who gets the most right will win $20 to the Lone Star Oyster Bar in Lubbock. Leave an email address so we can get in touch with you. If there is a tie, we will draw a name out of a hat for the winner. Good luck and have fun with it.

Also, feel free to leave more insight than just names. If you’re passionate about one of the races, tell us why you think the way you do.

    Kenny’s picks:

    REPUBLICANS
President: John McCain, but just barely
District 83: Delwin Jones. Dr. Hnatek (can I call him hip-natek?) has run an admirable race, but Delwin Jones is an unstoppable juggernaut of incumbency.
Tax Assessor: Molly Ramos. She has the most experience and the best voter outreach.
County Chair: Chris Winn. Too big a name locally for it to be otherwise.

    DEMOCRATS
President: Obama. But you knew I’d say that, right? 🙂
US Senate: Rick Noriega. He’s a dream candidate that can beat Cornyn in the general election.
Commissioner Pct 3: This race is too close to call.
County Chair: Pam Brink. Her well-run campaign is a testament to her organizing skills.
