This e-mail was sent by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce on behalf of LetLubbockVote.

The Let Lubbock Vote specific purpose Political Action Committee (PAC) announced today (Oct. 1) that the 60-day petition signing period to allow Lubbock county citizens the right to vote on the issue of alcohol sales has begun.
If you are interested in signing the petition, there will be one at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, 1301 Broadway, Suite 101 from 8 – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. As well, Texas Petition Strategies (TPS), a firm the PAC has hired with a 100 percent success rate for meeting petition signing goals, will be at various retail locations throughout the next 60 days in bright yellow shirts collecting signatures for the two county-wide petitions. Today, TPS will be at the four WalMart locations and Sam’s Club until about 8 p.m.
A minimum of 18,747 signatures of registered Lubbock county voters are required on each petition, which may be signed through the end of November. The petitions read as follows: “the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages for off-premise consumption only” and the second petition reads “the legal sale of mixed beverages in restaurants by food and beverage certificate holders only.”
Let Lubbock Vote is a volunteer led PAC with David George serving as Chairman and Martha York serving as Treasurer, and it is solely funded by voluntary contributions from individuals and businesses. If you are interested in contributing or volunteering with Let Lubbock Vote you can do so through
