Leach Fired

LEACH OUT AT TEXAS TECH

Texas Tech fired Head Coach Mike Leach today just two days after Leach was suspended after allegedly treating Adam James badly.

Leach’s attorney was handed the letter of termination just moments before a court hearing was supposed to take place in Lubbock.

I will have a lot more to say on this later, but Texas Tech must get out in front of this and try to win the PR War. Who will Tech hire to replace Leach… good question. Any ideas? Art Briles will be mentioned a lot, but I’m not sure he’s ready to leave Baylor. However, if Tech starts flashing around some money that could change his mind. For now, Ruffin McNeil is the interim HC and will lead the Red Raiders at the Alamo Bowl.

I know many people out there are mad, upset, hurt, whatever. I get it and understand, but don’t take it out on the team. Keep supporting your Red Raiders.

More later.

I support team and will root for them. unfortunately, after the bowl game i won’t be supporting the university at games and with donations. At least not for a year. I love the Red Raiders but the way this was handled was so stupid that i don’t want them to have my money for a while. The only thing the admin will understand is a funding issue…so i hope we give it to them.

As a non-partial observer, but a huge college football fan, I find this story fascinating. Here is my suggestion for the Tech fans…..wait. Wait and see if Leach is “Bobby Knight” (the Indiana, player choking version) first. Once you have all the facts, then decide.
