Zach Brady Endorses Delwin Jones

31 Mar

Bart Stupak would be so proud…

Obviously, Zach Brady didn’t mean it when he said that West Texas needs a good strong conservative voice in Austin.

This morning Zach Brady, who finished 3rd in voting, endorsed Delwin Jones in the runoff election between Jones and Charles Perry. This announcement took many by surprise, but not me. Brady is probably pretty bitter towards Perry right now, and his campaign went from getting a good conservative elected to anyone but Perry.

Brady spent a lot of money trying to beat Jones and came in 3rd place. Pretty embarrassing for a guy who wanted to keep moving up in the political arena. Charles Perry was the no-name candidate who came out of no where and came pretty close to getting more votes than Jones. You can see why Brady would be bitter.

A while back I wrote and even said on the air that while I agreed with Zach Brady on some issues, there was just something about him that I couldn’t trust. He was like that used car salesman trying to sell you really hard on a car that he knows is screwed up. I’ve always thought that I could read someone. I’ve even had friends tell me that I’m good at sizing people up. Well, looks like I was right again.

Zach Brady has just endorsed someone who goes against many of the principles that Zach ran on. Brady said that Jones wasn’t the strong conservative voice. But, now he is? Brady’s campaign slogan was “It’s Time”, so what changed? It’s not time anymore for new leadership? During Brady’s campaign it was all about getting Delwin out, so what changed?

Oh that’s right. Zach Brady lost. So now it’s time for Zach Brady to sell out his principles in hopes of getting something in return in the future. Bart Stupak would be so proud.

I wonder if all the supporters who donated to the Brady campaign feel cheated? I would. You donated to a guy who just sold out conservatives. Want your money back?

There was a reason why some of us weren’t sold on what Zach Brady was saying. We weren’t fooled and today we aren’t asking for our money back.

We will have more on this on Thursday’s LFN.

Awesome job with this post! It’s like a Shakespearean tragedy that he would spend so much time and effort joining clubs and Boards, currying favor with locals, just to sell them out with his endorsement. He isn’t interested in defending the values of the citizens of Lubbock. He’s only interested in power!

The LPPA endorsed Brady when he first announced. I felt like they sold out by doing that endorsment without waiting to see who else was running, and now at least I know I was right.

Just got through looking at the Zach facebook page and saw where we have had terrible leadership in Austin for many years! Now we are to believe we now will have great leadership if we send the terrible leadership back! GO CHARLES PERRY
